Vacation. Job opportunity. Move.
Whatever it is - if today was it, the last possible day to get your work done, what would it be? I’m not talking about a bucket list for work. I’m talking about the stuff that no one else can do - the stuff that you’re absolutely amazing at - all in the job that you have right now.
How do we create those experiences and opportunities, over and over again? How do we weed our work down to exactly what we love, and as little as possible of everything else.
That’s the ultimate cure to burn-out. I both envy and despise the fact that Ryan Holiday no longer views his weekends as anything different than his weekdays - he loves what he does and works and plays and lives, all at the same time. That’s what we all need more of, isn’t it?
There is too much to accomplish, and far too little time to do it in. We have got to get better at what we’re great at. We have to constantly figure out what we don’t want to do, and get a better way of handling it. I haven’t even scratched the surface, but I’m downright determined to figure it out.
